The Great Ormond Street Hospital has successfully implemented Love to Ride programmes to improve team morale, increase health outcomes, and reduce carbon emissions.
With the onset of the COVID pandemic, the team at GOSH made a bold decision: to promote active transport and healthier living among its staff. At the same time, they focused on improving the London cycling infrastructure.
Enthusiastic staff members have shared why they participate in Love to Ride programmes:
77% seek to enhance their overall fitness.
44% desire to improve their general health.
43% relish the opportunity to experience the great outdoors.
From the beginning, GOSH made a clear commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and it has paid off. Over 60% of riders are female—a remarkable stat given that cycling is traditionally male-dominated.
During the 2023 Cycle September challenge, GOSH came in 1st in their category (2,000+ staff members). Congratulations to the team for their outstanding accomplishment!
