Results Achieved

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has leveraged the Love to Ride platform and programme and achieved excellent results:

-  8,201 people and 461 businesses have now participated in the programme.

- Of those participants who did not ride before participating in Love to Ride ('new riders'), 29% reported they were now riding once a week or more often six months after participating.

- Of those who did not ride for transportation before participating, 37% have started riding for transportation.

49% of people who signed up are in the target audience of being new to riding or only riding occasionally.

Cost per Result Analysis

When the cost of the program is divided by the results that the program has achieved, we get a 'cost per result' achieved.

Here is the 2024 'cost per result' analysis:

Note on 'cost per result' calculation: for each result of the project (e.g. the 'number of new people taking up bike riding' ) we take a proportion of the total budget (e.g. 14% of the budget) and divide it by the total number of people who have taken up biking as a result of the program. This calculation generates the 'cost per result' figure for each result type.

Kudos to the TfGM team for achieving these results with the Love to Ride program! 🎉

We love delivering excellent value for money to our customers and Greater Manchester is another example of the Love to Ride platform and program doing just that.
